Here is a summary of what I have been up since arriving in Chihuahua, Mexico on May 18th. I am currently assigned to the northern part of the city. My new companion is Elder Saucedo and he is from Mexico.
* We had a devotional from elder Holland my first day here
* We had a book of mormon activity that has hosted by the primary children and the missionaries helped out.
* We received a new recent convert that moved into our area
* Found a cockroach in the house….killed it with air freshener spray
* A squirrel came in the church and we chased it out
* Cleaned the house for 3 hours the first pday here
* We are going to start using our first names and using “tu” instead of usted. This is something they are testing out in our mission. This is only for those who aren’t members of our church.
* We ate these things called “hot dogos”. Lots of different things you can put on them.
* We went on a hike with all the youth
* We sent a taxi to drop off a book of mormon to someone
* Helped a man by giving him lots of cans to sell, then we paid for a taxi for him to go to a homeless shelter
* Did the work to get our green cards. I talked to a man named Luciano while doing my green card work and he said he was interested in the book of mormon and that he was going to read it!
* We got home and found out that Elder saucedo had the keys. One of the other elders tried to climb into the house but he ripped his pants on the way. We call the owner and he came to rescue us.
* On Pday today, we played soccer and then bought a bunch of food!

1. Picture of the missionaries at the activity
2. They lock the Nutella containers up. I guess they are very popular to steal.
